Practice informed by the Australian Curriculum v9 Literacy learning progression. The campaign emphasises spelling, grammar and punctuation, with reading/viewing and sentence-level composing and editing decisions.
Word knowledgeSpelling patterns, homophones, word families, morphology, precise and contextual vocabulary.
Sentence knowledgeFragments, independent/dependent clauses, simple, compound, complex and compound-complex sentences; commands; sentence combining.
